Incatneato

This is an oil painting I created for the Purrfect Pals cat rescue. It was sold at the Black Cat Ball dinner auction a few years ago. I'm introducing it into Verksted Gallery as a limited framed edition. The frame is handmade with hand painted details. The painting is a Giclee print on Velvet fine art archival paper.
With each painting I write a story to share the thoughts and world of each character. This is my idea of a Black Cat going to a costume ball. Notice the fish confetti. Here is the story:

"It was time for the annual “Black Cat Ball”. She bought a new pink gown to wear this year to go with the heart necklace she inherited from her mother. A gold fish mask with a big pink feather hides her identity from others. The proceeds always go to a great cause which is to provide homes for the less fortunate. The Ball was a chance to dine, socialize and show off her new dress but most importantly her new fish fan."

Touch the Sky

Just finished a new Digital Painting called "Touch the Sky". Painting in photoshop with a lot of custom brushes.
"Touch the Sky"
Breaking the plane to see heaven,
Pushing through obstacles to see beyond,
if yet for a moment to see a glimpse of what could be.
Reaching beyond the normal flow of the day to touch life.
Breakthrough.

Haynie art at Verksted Gallery

I joined a local artist coop gallery in the beautiful danish town of Poulsbo. It's a great group of artists with a variety of different art styles. Sherri and I loved the gallery the first time we walked in years ago. Since then we have met many of the artists who display there. So if your coming through Pouslbo, stop in. Here are a few pics of the display.
